Tulane has always offered a distinctive education, located in the most unique city on the globe, attracting students who want to change the world. However, some of the world’s most deserving students may never consider Tulane because they simply cannot afford it.
The Next Wave scholarship initiative was launched in 2021 to change that reality, removing daunting financial barriers and allowing the next wave of Tulanians to rise to new heights. By matching scholarship gifts one-to-one, Next Wave doubled the value and impact of donations of $100,000 to $500,000. The Tulane community responded eagerly as countless donors embraced the challenge to help welcome talented students to Tulane.

A NEW ERA FOR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Inspired by the success of the initial Next Wave challenge, an anonymous donor has taken up the cause, embarking on a new era for Next Wave.
The new era of the Next Wave Scholarship Challenge provides a powerful appeal to generous donors and a warm welcome to talented undergraduates. Donations can be used to create new endowed scholarships or further the reach of existing scholarships. The continued Next Wave Scholarship Challenge will offer donors an exciting incentive for their generosity — doubling the value and impact of donations to new scholarships of $100,000 to $500,000 in support of undergraduate scholarships.
A meaningful gift with immeasurable impact
- New endowed scholarship gifts will be matched one-to-one.
- Gifts to existing scholarships of $100,000-$500,000 will also be matched one-to-one.
- Gifts to existing scholarships with a value of less than $250,000 will also be matched one-to-one up to $125,000.
- Gifts will support unrestricted endowed undergraduate scholarships.
- The Next Wave Scholarship Challenge will run until the $5 million in funds have all been matched. Act now!
